Meet The Team
Nick Dawa - Owner
As a child, I developed a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, spending many weekends hiking and fishing. It wasn't until later in my adult life, however, that I discovered the thrill of bow hunting. After taking a single shot from my first compound bow, I was immediately hooked!
Today, I find that nothing compares to the peace and tranquility I experience during tree-stand sits. No matter what's going on in my life or how stressful things may be, sitting in a tree and watching the world come to life offers a much-needed respite from the chaos of the world. In the silence and isolation of the stand, I've found solutions to countless problems, and the experience has had a lasting effect on my heart and mind. Unfortunately, this experience is one that many people will never understand or appreciate.
In addition to hunting, target archery has also become a beloved passion of mine. The two pursuits complement each other perfectly, and I owe my deep understanding of the "nuts and bolts" of archery to my experience with 3D archery. Through this pursuit, I've learned to identify and correct imperfections in my form and equipment, and I've even taken classes on self-bow building and compound bow technical skills. Target archery has also introduced me to a community of like-minded individuals and created many unforgettable memories.
Throughout my journey in archery, I've been fortunate enough to harvest many of God's beautiful creatures and provide food for my family. It's been an incredible bonding experience for our family, and we're excited to continue building relationships and making memories through our shared passion for archery.
Shayla Dawa - Owner
Archery has quickly become my passion, capturing my heart and soul just a few short years ago. What started as a curiosity with 3D archery quickly transformed into a lifelong love affair with the sport, fueled by the challenge it presents, the discipline it demands, and the sense of community and camaraderie that surrounds it.
As I prepared for my first archery hunting season, I was struck by the beauty and majesty of the animals that call the woods home. Witnessing them in their natural habitat was an awe-inspiring experience that brought me closer to the divine than I had ever been before. And though my first hunting trip didn't result in a successful harvest, it only fueled my passion for the hunt and deepened my reverence for the animals we are blessed to share this world with.
When that first arrow hit its mark and I harvested my first buck, I was filled with an indescribable sense of accomplishment and gratitude. The form, the aim, the follow-through - every aspect of archery demands a level of skill and focus that is both challenging and deeply rewarding.
For me, archery is more than just a sport - it's a way of life. It has opened my eyes to the beauty and complexity of the natural world, and has brought me closer to my family, friends, and fellow archers than I ever could have imagined. I look forward to many more years of growth, learning, and unforgettable experiences in the archery community.

What We Use
Bloodline Fiber Technology
Why Bloodline Fiber Technology?
To put it simply, we think that Bloodline Fiber - particularly the VEC99 string material - is the best in the world.
What about fuzz?
Fuzz is a key indicator of fibers breaking down. This can come from external sources of abrasion and internal ( yarn on yarn) when fibers rub on each other causing wear. Our coating is designed to protect from both of these abrasion sources and extend strand life. Expect to see a dramatic increase in the time before fuzz starts to appear.
What is so different about the coating?
We developed a patent pending coating technology that is extremely different than traditional materials. It provides the following benefits:
Reduced Maintenance / strings are not needed to be waxed
Cleaner Strings / coatings do not collect dirt and grime
Brighter Colors / pigments designed not to fade from UV
Longer Life / coating dramatically protects fibers from breakdown
Manufacturing / no uneven or sticky wax to deal with
Stable / the slick coating allows individual strands to balance
Arrow Speed / Lighter weight and balanced strands improve arrow speed
What about temperature?
All of our materials can be used at temperatures above 140 F without any coating or fiber breakdown.
Baker Archery Products
I’m going to put this as plainly as I can - I use Butch’s products because he’s literally mastered the tools for string building. He hand makes/welds all of his stuff here in the US and has been doing it for decades. I don’t know of a single string builder that isn’t using most of his products. He’s a small family business and a very hard working man. He has paved the way for manual string building equipment. For these reasons and many more, we are proud to say that we use Baker Archery Products here at UnBound Archery - and we don’t see that ever changing.
